Turning Lemons into Lemon-Aid
Meet Ramsay. Ramsay is a seven year old little girl with a lot of heart, or should I say Hart…
One of Ramsay’s friends, Haley Hart, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Haley has had to spend countless hours in the pediatric unit of the hospital since her diagnosis. Ramsay wanted to be sure that Haley, and other children like her, would have plenty of toys to play with while undergoing treatments and recovering in the hospital.
Ramsay decided to open up a ‘Lemon-Aid’ stand to raise money for the pediatric unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She set up shop on Thursday, July 15th, in front of the Coton Colors flagship store in Tallahasse. Ramsay recruited shoppers to help with her cause by buying fresh lemonade. For only $1 her customers could get a glass of lemonade AND a cookie, what a deal.
Ramsay made a total of $175 - woo hoo, way to go!! We will follow Ramsay as she goes shopping with the money she raised to purchase lots of new toys for the kids at Tallahassee Memorial. Haley will join her on the shopping trip, who better to help her pick out just the right treats for little troopers just like her!
