Tallahassee Launch Party

Thu, November 10, 2011

How did we get so lucky?? All the stars aligned as we hosted an amazing outdoor fall party in Tallahassee with the perfect weather, scenery and company. I’m so excited to finally share all of the details with you…

When?  … Tuesday night, November 1 {Oh what a night!}

Weather?… Absolutely perfect! {50ish with a bright moon}

Where? ….The Space.  {An absolutely wonderful setting with a cool horse barn, beautiful grounds, huge oak trees dripping with moss, wide pastures, bonfires, and a garden to boot. Fall attire and boots welcomed!}

What? … A tasting and toast to the launch of our newest creation - The Happy Everything Cookbook!

{It couldn’t have been more perfect!}

I am constantly amazed by the talents of our hard working team at Coton Colors but this launch party really blew me away.  The team, lead by Paige Benton and Ashley Trafton, sure can put on a party!

Everywhere you looked there were touches of Coton Colors charm.  Various spots scattered throughout the party hosted a different celebration pulled directly from the cookbooks.  The many design tips offered were put to use, creating the finishing touch for each venue. What’s better than dozens of hand made, brightly colored paper flowers hung over the Cinco de Mayo table?

Or piles of “polka dot” pumpkins and gourds?  Adorable!

Each Table was filled with delicious tastings of Susie’s very special recipes .  How about the Italian Dinner Party venue set in the perfectly plotted garden from where delicious Eggplant Caponata on crostini was served alongside cold Prosecco?

Or delicious BBQ Chicken and Skillet Baked Beans served up by the talented chefs of Black Fig? Mmmm!

We even had an appearance from the Lucy and Leo’s cupcake camper bringing Grapefruit Cupcakes with Whipped Berry Frosting! How cute!!

And the finishing touches….delicious Bread Pudding with warm Whiskey Sauce and melting S’mores over the bonfire.  Perfection!

I am so very proud of the team and their efforts to constantly,  consistently raise the bar of excellence.   That is Coton Colors.  And I have to say, I am so very proud to have had the opportunity to show us off a bit.

A highlight of the night was being introduced by my dear friend and County Commisioner, Bryan Desloge.

Many thanks again to Susie for coming on this wild ride with me, it has been such a pleasure to work with her on this project. She continues to amaze me more everyday and her recipes are truly to die for.

The very, very best part of this magical night was being surrounded by so many  family and friends, all whom have contributed so very much to the success of Coton Colors.

Thank you, Tallahasse, for being such a great support, a real incubator that has nurtured my small company, supporting me and my team on our journey  throughout the many years.  It was truly a special, special night.

I couldn’t have done this without you! Here’s to finding a little Happy… in Everything!
