Simple Summer Sangria

In honor of National Wine Day {a.k.a., the happiest day of the year!}, it's only natural to share one of our very favorite recipes: White Peach Sangria! A perfectly refreshing option for the upcoming hot summer days, this sangria mixes the delicious flavors of white wine, fresh peaches, and mint - resulting in a total crowdpleaser. 

We love to serve this yummy drink up poolside {or beachside} with light appetizers such as cheese and crackers, pimento cheese and peach toasts, or a fresh crudités tray with a light dipping sauce. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a pitcher {like our adorable White Stripe Flare Pitcher}, mix up the ingredients, and relax. We'll "cheers" to that!

White Peach Sangria {courtesy of My Recipes}

1 bottle {750 ml.} Riesling or other aromatic wine of your preference

1/2 cup peach schnapps

1 bottle {750 ml} chilled brut-style sparkling wine

2 cups {about 3/4 lb.} firm-ripe white peaches, sliced into thin wedges

1 cup loosely packed mint sprigs

In a large pitcher or small punch bowl, combine Riesling, peaches, peach schnapps, and mint sprigs. Cover and chill in refrigerator until cold, at least 2 hours.

When ready to serve, pour in sparkling wine, stirring gently, and serve immediately in chilled glasses.
