Road Map to Market :: Dallas {Saddle Up}

Thu, June 19, 2014

At Coton Colors, we live by our brand promise and “never miss an opportunity to celebrate every day”. Around here, we make everything an event from donuts in the office to impromptu karaoke. Why would our travel adventures be any different?

This week, we’re hitting the road for our showroom at the Dallas Market Center. And since everything is bigger in Texas, we’re rolling out larger-than-life celebrations while we’re on the go! Check out our round up of Dallas hot spots featuring cool cocktails, off-beat and local eats, plus must-see attractions. Saddle up and let the celebrating begin!

One of the amazing markets Coton Colors calls home is the Dallas Market Center. A shopaholics dream with over 5 million {that’s right… MILLION} square feet, the market hosts over 75,000 buyers from the US and around the world each year. We can’t be more thrilled to hang our shingle {and our cowboy hat} here over our permanent showroom!

You really must: Visit the Coton Colors showroom.
May we suggest: On the hunt for style? The jungle’s got nothing on the Dallas Market Center. Be sure to plan your shopping stops and pack snacks.

4246 Oak Lawn Ave
Dallas, TX 75219

It’s in a strip mall… But don’t let that fool you. This Tai fusion favorite regularly ranks on the top ten best restaurant list.

You really must: Order a to die for Elderberry Flowers Martini.
May we suggest: Try sharing dishes family style. The flavors are simply delicious and just too good to keep to yourself.

801 S Riverfront Blvd
Dallas, TX 74207

It’s a gas station, car wash, convenient store AND… They have the best tacos in Dallas! For added attraction {as if they needed it} you’ll find a herd of longhorns, three donkeys, a zebra, and strangely enough, a swimming pool. Luckily, our crazy market hours never interfere with a visit since they serve their delicious soft tacos 24/7.

You really must: Bring cash! They don’t take plastic for their tasty tacos.
May we suggest: Each flavor is unique and amazing, but we adore the al pastor. It’s a delicious blend of pork and spices with chopped onions, cilantro and a squeeze of lime. It’s simply sublime!

Young St & Griffin St
Dallas, TX 75202

If you love the old west and cowboy culture, you won’t want to miss the life-sized bronze steers and cowboys that saddle up downtown near the Dallas Convention Center. With seventy steers and three trail riders, the majestic monument really does capture the spirit of 1850s cattle drives on the site of the historic Shawnee Trail. We just love feeling as though we’re really riding through history.

You really must: Bring a camera {ok, smart phone}.
May we suggest: Horse play! Get a picture with the life-sized steers and embrace your inner cowboy. Yee haw!

Next stop on the trail… More Dallas fixtures plus a trip to Fort Worth to find more home-spun fun. Don’t miss a mile!
