Laura on: St. Jude and giving back
Working with St. Jude is something near and dear to my heart. Our partnership, which has evolved into a great friendship, started back in 2005 when they approached me about designing some exclusive products inspired by their patients’ artwork. Our partnership has grown over the years, and has evolved into something I’m extremely proud of.
St. Jude’s mission is to advance cures and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Unlike any other hospital, the majority of St. Jude’s funding comes from individual contributions. And thanks to generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude. That’s huge! Each time I visit St. Jude to host art therapy workshops, I’m more and more in awe of the enormous difference they’re making in the lives of so many little ones.
Without fail, whenever I get to talking to people about our work with St. Jude, so many of you guys inquire about how you, too, can get involved. Well now you can. We’ve worked with St. Jude to create a simple way for you to also give back. On our website, you can read more about the phenomenal work St. Jude is doing and make a donation to help those sweet families in need of St. Jude’s care.
They’re some really exciting announcements on the horizon regarding our partnership with St. Jude, which we’ll be sharing soon. I can’t wait to update y’all on what we’ve got in the works in an effort to bring a little more happy to these sweet kids’ lives.
I’m so happy to announce that we’ve officially launched our St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® capsule collection! This has been in the works for quite some time, and it brings me such joy to finally launch these products. You know what makes this collection extra special to me? The design of each piece within the collection was inspired by the artwork of a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® patient. And for each capsule collection piece purchased through December 31, 2015, we’re giving $2 to St. Jude.
