Laura On: How Our Lollipop Jars Got Their Name
When my girls were little I used to treat their good behavior [and, yes, occasionally bribe them] with lollipops. Just something easy that I could keep in my purse and around the house without having to worry about finding gum stuck somewhere later. I stored them in a handmade jar on the kitchen counter. Over time the girls started calling it the “lollipop jar”.
The original jar design was by no means meant for lollipops. I created it to sit on my kitchen counter to catch all of those random things life throws at you. It was one of the first shapes I designed and I hand painted them in bright colors. The colors may have changed over the years, but you’ll still find one filled with lollipops at the Johnson house!
