Laura On: Bringing Spring Inside
To me, the first sign of spring is one of the most beautiful sights ever. The days are longer which means I can spend more time enjoying the outdoors. In the spring, I start and end my days outside. In the mornings, Milton and I take a long walk and then enjoy coffee on the back porch before we head our separate ways. And at night, we usually wind down with a glass of wine on the porch and dine al fresco.
We had our first taste of spring a couple weekends ago, and I loved every minute of it. I knew it wouldn’t be here to stay quite yet, so I took full advantage of the warm weather and sunshine. We woke up early for our morning walk, sipped coffee on the porch, and then I spent the morning and afternoon digging in the yard and putting together some floral arrangements for the house – one of my absolute favorite things to do. Sunshine and a refreshing breeze poured through our opened windows and filled the house with scents of spring, and the arrangements added the perfect splash of color and life to the house.
That spring teaser was just what the doctor ordered. Nothing makes this girl happier than a house full of sunshine, fresh blooms and a cool breeze.
