Kyle On: What’s on My Agenda this Week (Dec)
Here we are already over halfway through December. I can't believe how fast this month has flown by. It has been an especially busy month for me. I feel like I say that every month, but this time I really mean it! The month started in Memphis for an inspiring trip to the St. Jude Marathon Expo, an annual trip for Coton Colors. (You can read more about that here.) From Memphis, I flew to Atlanta to set up the new Atlanta Coton Colors Flagship store. I still can’t believe we set the entire store in just FIVE days!
Once the Atlanta store was open for business, I flew to New York City for a short trip. We were hosted by NBC Studios to personalize the custom ornaments we designed for them this year! It was around this trip, the third trip in 8 days, that I began to feel the beginning of the dreaded common cold and on top of that, with an early snow in Atlanta, my flight out of NYC was canceled. My sweet husband, Warren, saved the day and found a flight that would get me to Jacksonville. Mom happened to be there for a personalization event at the Dillard’s in St. John’s Town Center so I was able to do that event with her. I got a few days at home before setting back off to Atlanta for the grand opening celebration at the store! That celebration was hard earned by a lot of people, and I’m so proud of what we accomplished.
I absolutely love traveling, and this time of year makes it especially fun, but it makes you realize how nice spending a weekend at home truly is. I did have one nice weekend at home before the craziness of Christmas, which allowed me to finalize my Christmas shopping, wrap gifts, and to tie up some loose ends at work. You’ll see from the picture of my agenda, the few days following Christmas will be spent at the beach – hello vacation!
As we wrap up 2017 (and celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary!), I look back on the year and think how lucky I am to have a career that takes me to so many places, to meet so many amazing people, to shoot for the moon, and to make big things happen. Merry Christmas, everyone!
