Kyle On: What’s on My Agenda this Week
What a complete whirlwind this summer was – I can’t believe the end of August is nearing already. After starting the summer with an incredible trip to France with Sara Kate (look for more on that in the coming issue of Toast, launching in September) and a trip to the Bahamas with Warren and some close friends a few of weeks ago, summer travels made the time fly by. Looking ahead at what I have planned for the rest of the month, it seems like time is not slowing down anytime soon!
This weekend, we’re headed on our next adventure – our annual family trip to Biloxi, MS. There are also quite a few birthdays to celebrate this weekend as well!
I always feel like it’s the busiest time at work and at home in between trips. I find that I’m not only catching up from being out of the office during my last trip, but I’m also trying to get ahead to be out of the office for the next one. There’s so much to do that I feel like I’m ready to put on my out of office message and just keep it there! Does any one else feel like that?
Luckily, I think I’ve somewhat mastered a good approach to staying organized so important things don’t fall through the cracks when this busy time hits. I use my agenda to plan high-level dates and meetings and use the new Happy Everything!™ notebooks to organize my to do lists. I separate each “type” of to do list on different pages to make them easy to add to and tackle by category. I JUST started using the notebooks and can’t tell you how much I love their quality and simplicity of the inner pages, not to mention the fun designs on each cover. If you haven’t picked one (or more!) up by now – go get one so you can see for yourself!
