Fall into the Season

As much as I love the sand and sun of summer, I equally love the chilly air of fall.  Every year, when the leaves turn colors and the weather cools off, Coton Colors employees gather at a local farm for an afternoon of fellowship, food and fun!  I am so thankful all year long to be surrounded by such an amazing team and it’s nice to slow down every once in a while and really say thanks.  It was fitting to feature this get together in The Happy Everything Cookbook  as we always have the best food.

Being the competitive bunch that we are, some years find us hosting a chili cook-off amongst each other.  It is always fun to sample different types of yummy chili and enjoy the rocking chair front porch on the farm. One thing we all agree on is that chili pairs well with a big glass of wine!

The afternoon is always full of outdoor activities like skeet shooting and horseshoes.  These certainly play in to that competitive spirit  I mentioned before…

As most of you know, we have several canine “employees” and of course they are invited as well. They are always happy to cast their votes in the chili cook-off…

Of course, no autumn afternoon is complete without an autumn evening bonfire, and yes, we always have s’mores!!
