Easy Steps for Spring Effortless Entertaining
By now you may have gotten the hint that I love Spring! I think this is one of my favorite seasons because the air is a little warmer (but not too hot yet!) and our celebrations are a little brighter! Brighter celebrations aren’t just thanks to longer days though. This time of year, I love incorporating pops of happy color into just about everything. I think the greener grass and brighter flowers have something to do with this – inspiration is blooming all around me.
As you know, my family and I make celebrating all of life’s moments, big and small, a priority. But it’s important to not get caught up in the fuss over celebrating. At the beginning of each season, I do a couple things around the house to prep for the upcoming season to ensure that whether it’s coffee with a friend, an impromptu dinner party, or celebrating the holidays with family, I’ve got the essentials on hand and easily accessible. One of the things I do to make sure I’m celebration ready is to spend a Saturday packing up my dishes from the prior season and setting up my dishes for the season ahead. It doesn’t take long, and it feels so good once it’s done. By adding in some fresh pieces for each season and by keeping them at arms reach, it really does make celebrating effortless.
figured I would share with you some pictures of the pieces I chose for Spring and how I like to display them – both in my kitchen cabinets and display cabinets. I like to update my display cabinets with my Spring dishes because it also gives my kitchen a seasonal facelift and serves as spring décor for the house. Knocking out two birds with one stone! See the ruffled salad plates with the gold accent? My daughter, Kyle, designed those as her cake plate for her NYE wedding last year. I loved them so much, I had to bring them out this season to mix in with my other favorite spring pieces.
It’s my hope that everyone feels inspired to never miss an opportunity to celebrate every day. Life is too short to live any other way.
Cheers to Spring!
