Create a Spooktacular Halloween Spread!

Sun, October 7, 2012

Create a table with spooky spirit by incorporating frightfully fun elements for guests to enjoy. What better way to set your Halloween scene than a witch’s cauldron complete with smoking brew?

Start by purchasing dry ice at your local grocery store. Be careful, it’s extremely cold, so bring a cooler and gloves to transport it safely. Store the dry ice in the cooler until you’re ready to get your cauldron brewing. Start the fun by filling the cauldron with warm water, then add the dry ice using tongs or gloves. When the dry ice starts to evaporate, the spooky smoking will start. Guests are sure to bewitched!

Create crafty confections to satisfy any sweet tooth and continue the theme by serving positively wicked witchy apples. A fall favorite, apples with caramel, chocolate or candy are enchanting eats that beckon guests… Eek me! Try a caramel or candy apple kit from your local grocery store to keep things simple, especially if you’re tight on time. If party prep is your poison, however, try this recipe from the Food Network’s Giada De Laurentils. We know, we know… She’s so cute and thin it doesn’t look like she’s ever eaten a candy apple, but these babies are ghostly good! And yes, it makes a mess, but clean up is delicious. Add our adorable printables in three spooktacular patterns for a playful finishing touch.

Simply download our free caramel apple toppers for an easy DIY and add festive flair to your sweet treats. Print our template with your home printer on label paper, trim them to size, fold in half around the craft sticks for the apples, and secure in place.
